Addis Ababa (ENA) – Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar will pay official visit to Ethiopia in the middle of next week, according to Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During his visit which begins on Wednesday, 9th January 2019, Prime Minister Varadkar is scheduled to hold discussions with Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and President Sahlework Zewdie, it was learned.
The leaders will discuss issues of mutual interest.
According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ireland is one of the European countries supporting Ethiopia’s social and economic projects through Irish Aid.
The country is also committed to the political reforms and extended unlimited support for Ethiopia’s effort to restore peace and stability in the Horn of Africa, it added.
Ireland opened its embassy in Addis Ababa in 1994.
