Addis Ababa (ENA) – Eritrean President Isaias Afewerki will arrive in Ethiopia tomorrow for official state visit, according to Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
President Isaias will arrive in Addis Ababa on Saturday for a two-day state visit upon the invitation of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, the Ministry disclosed.
During his stay in Ethiopia, the President expected to meet Prime Minister Abiy and other higher officials on strengthening the historical ties of the two countries.
It expected that the official visit of the President will further strengthen the friendship and ties between Ethiopia and Eritrea.
This visit is also a good move to transform the strongest relationship between the two countries and the people.
Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed earlier paid a two-day state visit to Eritrea last weekend, it was learnt.
During his historic visited to Eritrea, the leaders of the two countries inked a comprehensive agreement to re-establish ties in economic and trade between Eritrea and Ethiopia, which was trapped for the past 20 years.
Resuming the economic and diplomatic ties including utilization of port, airlines, and free movement of people were among the issues agreed by both leaders.
